"The social and psychological repercussions of deindustrialisation is the overriding theme within my work. Photographing the interiors of structures rendered nearly obsolete since the collapse of industry, such as Social clubs, tradesmen’s homes and disused landscapes where industry once was. it becomes evident these spaces are manifestations of the experiences of a population who’s purpose has been stripped from them. The condition of these interiors is indicative of something further underlying than old furniture. Evidence of a communities isolation becomes clear, with these interiors reflecting the disenfranchised, detached psychology of individuals who were once part of the powerhouse of industry and the country. These interiors reflect the interior of the occupant."
